Surprise catches a week ago (:

Punggol Cr Dedicated to Punggol boy

This cr is dedicated to Andy, aka punggol boy, as this cr will not be possible without him.

I have been wanting to go fishing with him after seeing his crs from his blogs, so we finally managed to arrange a day to fish tgt last month, but i forgotten i had work that day so after first cast, alan came to fetch me home and then to work. SO WASTED!! He caught a Mj that day.

3 days later we went on a impulse trip from school to the same spot with my friends and met andy at the tackle shop. When we reached the spot, some 'unnatural' source disallowed us to fish... fml, haha, but the whole journey from the tackle shop to andy's house to the spot was all talk cock session and we laughed all the way.

then it was fyp, part time job and all till we were finally free today!

Went down the tackle shop with gj to get 200g of prawns, saw andy there, so he showed us his pet queensland, nice fish man, haha.

when we reached the place, there was already 3 ppl fishing, so we set up and started spinning. a mj hit gj's prawn at his first cast but his drag was too loose so didnt manage to set the work properly, the fish jumped out of the water and threw the hook. then it was misses and misses by us. total of 4 misses, and a couple of small snappers, and a small kbl by me.

then we were left with 2 pieces of dead prawn, gj peeled out the shell of one and casted it towards a school of bait fish being chase around. he felt a bite so he waited a few seconds before he striked, at first the fish didnt really fight much, as he was reeling in, he started to get really heavy and started to fight like crazy, haha. gj was using his light tackle so he couldnt do much but let the fish pull till it's tried. then finally is surfaced, holy shit, a huge golden pomfret, nice 4 lbs, hahahaha.

We would like to thank andy for being so generous, by sharing his spot bringing us there, this cr wont be possible without you, so thank you andy!

Hi guys, sorry for not updating the blog, fishing is hard lately due to the unpredictable weather and poor bite rate, haha.

Went to a spot introduced by my uncle and gj and alan caught their first orange spotted!

Went fishing tgt with 2 other friends and these are what we caught...

Alan now hold the record for the biggest toman caught! 6KGS!!!!! the one i caught was only 4.

and dom here also caught our biggest temensis, at 3kg!!

Zai also caught a big pb around this size but didnt manage to take a photo.

1 day after exams

Today Zai fly aeroplane and Alan accompany gf.

So Gj and i went to BFL ourselves and we both caught our first sebarau!!

I feel that the fight is very similar to temensis, but really strong for a fish this size.

Caught these 2 fishes yesterday after our last paper, both 4 lbs.

I lost a fish though.. the fight was really strong, it totally bullied my 5 ft rod paired with tica 500. drag was almost full but it pull out line like there's no drag. Fought it for 3 or 4 minutes, then it got tired, it swam nearer and near and suddenly line shagged... i shouted fu'ck and reeled back, that fish bit throu my 25lbs leader... suspect it's a 5 or 6lbs snakehead, damn wasted man.. got really pissed, lol. alan got no luck yesterday though, and gj keep gettin stuck and misses the hook up, haha. zai also caught a mini soonhook.

New Saltwater spot!

We went to try out a new spot 2 weeks ago.

Bite rate was ok, as there's alot of catfishes.

Place is full of flower crabs.

Then I landed our first stringray and first herring.

No biggie but our first anyway, so was really happy, haha.

Will try out this place again but theres alot alot of sand flies....

Bites 2 weeks ago are still itchy...

Gj, Zai and I all got bitten except for Alan, dunno why, haha

Prmp and Bishan Prawning

EXAMS ARE OVER!!!!

Few weeks ago, Gj and I went prmp to chill, catch rate was really bad, bite rate was damn high, because of all the small fishes in the pond.... wasted alot of bait. We're still lucky enough to land 2 mj each.

The next night i went prawning with my secondary school friends at bishan, bite rate was also good but the hookups keep failing. Lucky for me, I landed a 402g prawn at the last 10 min, haha.
